And by this – I’m referring to the idiots calling for stamping out illegal immigration.

The following exchanges took place after someone had the bad sense to copy me on a clip of a newspaper article about some local gang activity. I took the opportunity to point out how much better off we would be if we would put some effort into putting together a real school system, and some lunatic comes back with the “it’s all the fault of illegal immigration” angle. The funny part is this guy chooses to send this diatribe from his work email address at SAIC. Now I know a bit about data storage and archiving, and I know the specs of email archiving systems that government contractors are required to use. They are permanent storage, and they are keyword driven.

I had put it all here – but instead decided to move everyhting into it’s own message board -http://www.immigrationdebate.us

They’re still idiots.

New movie out with Nicole Kidman called “The Golden Compass” has raised an interesting debate:

Why is it that the Christian right can have all of there movies with their Christian overtones, but when a movie comes out that even remotely promotes athiesim everyone gets their underpants in a bunch.

I’m sick and tired of the whopping double-standard that is so pervasive in this country.  We believe in freedom of speech but only to a point.

Christianity (in all it’s forms, Evangelicals Christianity, Catholicism , Islam, Judiasim) has run it’s course.  It’s sad when no-one can see that they are all different flavors of the same poison.  Christianity holds back human development.  It saps us of free will, responsibility, and the ability to think for ourselves.

Congratulations to Philip Pullman for his daring foray into truth for the sake of truth, and for getting his day on the big screen.
